Welcome to “Tilgen”! 

We created this site to centralize our efforts in reducing the accumulation of “stuff” gathered over the years. The name we chose—Tilgen, the German word for “to redeem”—captures our mission perfectly: to redeem space. Our collection spans four generations and includes treasures from other branches of our family. You’ll find everything from furniture to swizzle sticks, hats to hammers, clothes presses to lawnmowers. Some items are fairly new, while others date back to before the turn of the 20th century.

This site will serve as the main hub for the “stuff,” though we’ll also list items on Craigslist, eBay, Etsy, and Facebook Marketplace. If you see something you like, simply use the contact form for that item. If you’re searching for something specific, reach out and we’ll check what we have available. The site will continue to evolve, so be sure to visit often—and don’t forget you can follow us on Facebook or join our email list to stay updated on new finds.  

As for “hours of operation,” the website is open 24/7/365. If something catches your eye, send us a note—we typically respond within 24 hours, often sooner. In addition, we may host occasional yard sales or even an auction, with details posted on the sidebar. Feel free to stop by during sale days or contact us to arrange an appointment.
